A large fascinating, marine hypotrich, reddish-brown cells. Highly flexible and adheres strongly to the substrate. Feeds on diatoms.

Culture Protocol
Cultures usually remain active for several weeks when kept at room temperature.
Sub-culture in autoclaved seawater plus a few boiled grass seeds and inoculate with 5mls of a rich culture of marine diatoms (we use A408 Phaeodactylum tricornutum)
